In honour of Thor'sDay

The following is a short writing I wrote a long time ago. It is also included in my novel during the chapter dealing with 'gods of men.' A few of you may already be familiar with this piece as I have posted as comments on a few of your page's.

" During the year of the great falling from the Gemni high -when the moon was veiled for ninety Sun passings,  - we arrived to the land of the Nordic night-fire. Therein this land was spoken to be a god that ruled the hearts of men, with fear und avenge upon his belt und lightning from his hands.

We met this god upon the edge of the crashing sky
- und a god we made him no more.

This hath I etched in their stones:

" With his hammer raised he a blow to its side,

against the stones that held the snow drifts high

,Und to the peoples below his spectacle ,

did the snow drifts come crashing down.

Then those who escaped to make his way,

did warn they the countryside.

Und a god they named him, in fear & wavering,

for his hammer like thunder roared.

As the days he went to their mountainsides,

to strike the ice und stone..."
